Personal coverage sheet
Where your permits work
Every US jurisdiction, judged against the permits you hold. This is the state layer only — federal ground, school zones and tribal land are decided by where you are standing, not by which state you are in.
Permitless-carry ages run from 18 to 21 by state, and several states set a lower age for active military and veterans. Without your age we cannot tell you whether permitless carry actually covers you.
Stored in this browser only. Your permits are sent with each lookup and never saved on our servers.
Leave this empty to judge all 56 jurisdictions. Add the states you will actually drive through and the plan below is ranked for that route instead.
You hold no permits, so this sheet shows where carrying is lawful without one. Add a permit above and it will be re-judged against every jurisdiction’s recognition rules.
Federal rules apply on top of all of this — postal property, federal facilities and school zones bind whatever your permit says.
“No bar found” is a statement about our data, not a guarantee about your exposure. Recognition changes without notice and no state is obliged to tell another that it has changed. Check the sheet for any state you are actually travelling to.
